Product variants (option selectors)

In this article, you will find how to configure the product variants setting for product item, product page and quickview.

Option selectors

The option selectors help your users select product variant options more easily on your website.

Options selectors

For example, in our demo store, a product has 2 options: Color and Volume. They will be displayed on the options selectors as the above image. Shopify supports maximum 3 options for a product. The option selectors can also display maximum 3 options.

Allow selection of sold out variants

If you check the checkbox, your client can select the sold out variant.

For example, in the above image, the variant (black/30 ml) is sold out on your store. Your client can select its option in the advanced options swatch but the button SOLD OUT button will be displayed. They cannot add this variant to cart.

If you uncheck the checkbox, your client cannot select the sold out variant.

For example, in the above image, the variant (black/30 ml) cannot be selected.

Hide selectors if there is only one variant

Check the checkbox, the option selectors will be hide if your product has only one variant.

Show color swatch

Check the checkbox and input the variant option name for color option of your product.

If you uncheck the checkbox or input the wrong option name, the color options will not show in the option selectors. It is shown as the default select box like below image.

Show size variant

Check the checkbox and input the variant option name for size option of your product.

If you uncheck the checkbox or input the wrong option name, the size options will not show in the option selectors. It is shown as the default select box.

Show other variant

Check the checkbox and input the variant option name for size option of your product.

If you uncheck the checkbox or input the wrong option name, the 3rd options will not show in the option selectors. It is shown as the default select box.
